My journey with woven pendant lights began on a quiet trip to Bali, where a humble artisan invited me into his open-air workshop. Among the fragrant bamboo and rhythmic weaving, I discovered a world where tradition meets design.
Discovering Art in Simplicity
The first piece that caught my eye was a cane woven light fixture, hanging delicately from the rafter. It wasn’t just a light; it was a story told through fiber and hand. The natural wicker lamp shade cast warm, intricate shadows across the workshop floor — a dance of light and craftsmanship.
Each item was unique. The handwoven bamboo ceiling light over the artisan’s bench shimmered subtly in the breeze. It reminded me of ocean waves — calm, rhythmic, and alive. The designs weren’t mass-produced; they were soul-stitched. The island style rattan light had the spirit of the tropics embedded in every strand.
From Island to Home
